In the school year 2007/08 we are launching a pre-school form for six-year-olds, numbering 16 children at a maximum. Our task is to prepare the small human being for undertaking learning in the first form of elementary school both in the cognitive and in the emotional sphere. We place emphasis on individual work with the child, taking into consideration its psychophysical capabilities.
The obligatory pre-school classes will take place between 8:30 and 15:30. During that time, besides pre-school classes with a teacher, we also plan English classes - 3 hours per week, swimming pool - twice a week, as well as dances and classes involving physical movement – 5 hours per week. Between 15:30-17:30, each child can pick, depending on its interests, some facultative classes: IT education, dancing, choir, education games and art classes.
The Pro Futuro School provides children with breakfast, lunch and tea.
The pre-school program of the yearly formation for the six-year-olds group is based on the program foundation of pre-school education. It is an innovative program, which places emphasis on the holistic development of the child. The priority issues are the child’s activity, development of mental tools, experiencing the world and a creative attitude to it.

The progress in the child’s development depends on the quality and quantity of its experiences. The program stresses the development of the little person as the consciousness of its own value, curiosity and emotional independence.
The yearly formational program develops skills like: communication, problem-solving ability, independence, capability of coexistence in a group, creativity...
The person aiding the child’s development is the teacher, who should create problematic situations, direct the child’s work and give it chances for individual knowledge-building.
The program does not impose any subject or topical area, for in our opinion the latter will follow from the specifics of the social environment where the child functions. However, the contents have been arranged around four development spheres: the emotional, cognitive, physical and social one.
The child should be subjected to the principles and norms of functioning in a group. It should develop in a certain structure, but we should also remember that its own needs must be satisfied too. Here we have in mind the need for security, belonging to a group, the child’s consciousness of its own value, as well as an irresistible wish to play, and to achieve success and draw joy from the executed tasks. And this is the most important aim of the program.

To implement the above goals, in the program we propose to employ music, rhythm and movement during everyday work with the products of children, which will later be used as natural didactic means. The initiated situation aims at ensuring emotional involvement of the child in the executed task and its identification with the product of its activity. Such actions give sense to the tasks executed jointly or individually, and help the children see the purpose of their activity.
